Peep Show

Saturday night got a little libertine - we spent the evening at London's hottest Mexican haunt, La Bodega Negra. Thanks to Manhattan nightlife maestro Serge Becker and partners Will Ricker and Ed Spencer-Churchill the basement restaurant, which sits on Soho's outer edges, has a very New York feel - at last we don't have to jump on a plane for the kind of fun, buzzy eateries that he does so well. We sat at the bar, munched on miniature tacos and sipped velvety tequilas while we enjoyed some of the best people-watching money can buy (hence the bank of paparazzi waiting on the street outside). Just don't be put off by the rather risqué fascia - downstairs is a den of just enough iniquity. We love.

The Beat Goes On

The new issue of The Beat is out. With four collectable covers starring Grimes, Zulu, Beth Ditto and Girls, this essential quarterly musiczine is not to be missed. Issue number four features all of the above as well as Santigold, Shirley Manson, Cassie, Yoko Ono and other hot names in new music.

Here's a quick preview, but we suggest you pick up your own copy from Marc by Marc, Dover Street Market or any good record store.

To Have And To Hold

Good news for anyone who missed them the first time around: nine of Prada's most memorable bags are to be re-editioned in celebration of the exhibition at the New York Metropolitan Museum, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. These collector's items, encompassing the silk satin bag from 1991, the framed bag featuring the Savoy logo branded on brushed leather (2005), and the Holliday and Brown prints from 2003 will be reproduced to their exact original versions, and will be available to buy exclusively in New York. We suggest you book your flight to JFK today.
